"Design is a Vocation"
ABOUT ME
Hi my name is Lisa Obeng-Botah, I am a university graduate at Birmingham City University, with a degree in Interior Architecture and design. Within my time at BCU I was able to develop key skills as a designer as well as explore new ways of learning and creating. I am able to effectively communicate my designs from abstract to conceptual; catering to the needs of proposed clients. I developed a sense for detail, this was done by carefully researching my clients and configuring a suitable colour palette and atmosphere for them. I was able to push my designs into the technical and visualisation stages to help communicate my concept. I gained skills in using various softwares such as Rhino, Photoshop, Vectorworks, Indesign and Enscape. To produce 3D and 2D interior and architectural designs. My work can range from purely inspirational to strictly client based. I picked up physical skills in using 3D workshop machinery and materials to create supporting models. I love being able to create habitable spaces using extraordinary concepts and designs, bringing to light new and fresh designs perceived for a new way of living.

creating property that is distinctive, stylish and contemporary, either for occupation or resale in the upper echelons of the vibrant super-prime property market. I had the opportunity to go to these amazing locations and being well involved in the construction side of projects I had a chance to meet with clients and workers. As well as measure and check building regulations. Using the materials board I made I had to check all properties followed the vision well. Within Chelsea Harbour I got to speak to suppliers and gather information on the production of materials aswell as pick out samples myself |
